ClieNote Privacy Policy

Toshihiro.nakao ("we", "us") has established this Privacy Policy to explain how the iOS / iPadOS app "ClieNote" (the "App") handles your information.

1. Our Approach

The App is designed to keep the information you enter on your own device. We do not collect or receive your personal information or any data you store in the App.

• The App does not send your data to any server operated by us
• No account registration or sign-in is required
• The App does not use advertising, analytics, or tracking
• The App does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or similar SDKs

2. Information the App Handles

The App stores the following information that you enter or select, on your device:

• Customer information (name, phonetic name, contact details, birthday, rating, tags, notes, photos, and custom fields you create)
• Jobs and appointments (date and time, services and options, amounts, status, cancellation fees, withholding tax, payment dates, etc.)
• Expenses, recurring contracts, and fixed assets (amounts, dates, photos, receipt images, etc.)
• Attendance records, business holidays, and app settings

This information is used only on your device to provide the App's features, such as record keeping, summaries, reports, and reminders.

Information About Your Customers

If you enter personal information about your customers into the App, that information is stored only on your device (and, if you purchase sync, in your own iCloud account). We never receive it. You are responsible for collecting, using, and managing your customers' personal information in accordance with applicable laws.

3. Where Your Data Is Stored

On Your Device

The App's data is stored on your device. Deleting the App also deletes this data from the device.

Sync Between Devices (Optional Purchase)

Only if you purchase the sync feature, the App's data is stored in your own private area of Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) and synced across your devices signed in with the same Apple ID. This data is stored in your iCloud account, and we cannot access it. Apple's privacy policy applies to how iCloud handles your information.

Backups and Exports

• Before importing a CSV file or restoring from a backup, the App automatically saves a backup file on your device (in the Files app under "On My iPhone › ClieNote")
• CSV, JSON, and PDF exports and sharing happen only when you choose to export or share, and you choose where the files go

4. Access to Device Features

The App uses the following features only with your permission. You can still use the rest of the App if you do not allow them.

• Camera: To photograph receipts and fill in the amount and date of an expense
• Photos: To choose photos of customers or fixed assets, or images of receipts
• Notifications: To remind you of appointments, deadlines, and contract renewal dates (notifications are created on your device)
• Files: To import receipts and statements from files or folders you select

5. On-Device Processing (Including AI Features)

• Reading text from receipts and statements, and the AI assistant (on supported devices only), use on-device processing such as Apple Intelligence. Images and your input are never sent to us or to any external server
• To support Siri and Spotlight search, the App adds customer names and job information to the search index on your device. You can turn this off in the App's settings

6. In-App Purchases

Purchases in the App (PRO and sync between devices) are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your name, payment details, or credit card information. The App stores only whether a purchase has been made, on your device.

7. Sharing With Third Parties

Because we do not collect your information through the App, we do not share it with any third party. (For information we receive when you contact us, see Section 10.)

8. Children

The App is intended for people running a business and is not directed at children under the age of 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in laws or in the App's features. If we make significant changes, we will notify you on this page or in the App. The updated policy takes effect when it is posted on this page.

10. Information We Receive When You Contact Us

The contact form on the support page uses Google Forms, provided by Google LLC. When you contact us, we receive the information you enter (such as your reply email address and the content of your inquiry).

• We use this information only to respond to your inquiry and to investigate and fix issues
• We do not share it with any third party, except as required by law
• We delete it once we have finished handling your inquiry and it is no longer needed
• Google's privacy policy also applies to how the form handles your information

This applies only when you choose to send us an inquiry. Using the App never sends your information to us.
