Fixee Privacy Policy
Toshihiro.nakao ("we", "us") has established this Privacy Policy to explain how the iOS / iPadOS app "Fixee" (the "App") handles your information.
1. Our Approach
The App keeps the fixed-cost information you enter only on your device and in your own iCloud. We do not collect any of your information.
- The App never sends your information to any server we operate.
- No account or sign-in is required.
- We do not show ads, analyze your usage, or track you.
- The App does not include any third-party SDKs (analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or similar).
2. Information the App Handles
The App stores the following information that you enter or set:
- Your fixed costs: name, category, amount, billing cycle and payment day, start date, free-trial end date, and whether the item counts toward totals
- Reminder settings: when and at what time to notify you, and the notification text
- Images attached to items (images you pick with the system photo picker or paste from the clipboard; they are resized on your device before saving)
- Templates and categories you create, and the order of your categories
- App settings such as language, currency, and display options
3. Where Your Data Is Stored
- On your device: The information above is stored on your device. This month's totals and your next payment are shared with the App's Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets on the same device so they can be displayed.
- iCloud (with Premium): Only if you have purchased Premium and are signed in to iCloud on your device, your items, images, your own templates and categories, category order, and widget content are stored in the private area of your own iCloud and synced across devices that use the same Apple Account. This data is kept in your iCloud, managed by Apple, and we cannot view or access it.
- Backups: If you use "Create Backup" (a Premium feature), your data is exported as a JSON file to a location you choose. It is never sent to us.
When you delete the App from your device, the data on that device is deleted. Data synced to iCloud remains in iCloud and comes back to your device when you sync again with the same Apple Account.
4. Access to Device Features
Notifications
The App asks for permission to send notifications so it can remind you before payments and let you know the day before a free trial ends. Notifications are scheduled on your device and do not go through any server of ours. You can use everything other than notifications without granting permission.
Calendar
The App asks for calendar access only when you tap "Add to Calendar" or "Export All to Calendar", to add your payment days to your device's calendar as events. When you add them again, the App looks up only the events it previously added and replaces them. It does not read or use any of your other events. You can use everything other than adding events to your calendar without granting access.
Photos
When you attach an image to an item, the App reads only the images you select in the system photo picker. It does not ask for access to your whole photo library.
iCloud sync notifications
When syncing with Premium, the App receives silent background notifications from iCloud when something changes on another of your devices, so it can update the widgets.
5. On-Device Processing
Calculating this month's totals, payment dates, and insights, displaying the widgets, and answering requests from Shortcuts (this month's total and your next payment) all happen on your device.
6. In-App Purchases
Purchasing Premium (a one-time purchase) and restoring purchases are handled by Apple's App Store. We never receive your payment information, such as card numbers.
7. Sharing With Third Parties
Because we do not collect your information, we do not share it with third parties, except where disclosure is required by law.
8. Deleting Your Data
- You can delete items one by one from the list.
- "Delete All Data" in Settings deletes all of your items. If you are syncing, the list in iCloud is emptied as well.
- Deleting the App from your device deletes the data on that device (for data synced to iCloud, see "3. Where Your Data Is Stored").
9. Children
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as needed. Any changes take effect when they are posted on this page.
