AiFolio Privacy Policy
Toshihiro.nakao ("we", "us") has established this Privacy Policy to explain how the iOS / iPadOS app "AiFolio" (the "App") handles your information.
1. Our Approach
The App reads the documents you place in a folder of your choice, gives them clear names, and files them into another folder — all on your device. We do not collect the contents of your documents or any information about you.
- The App does not send your documents or your filing history to us or to any other server. The only network communication the App performs is for purchasing and restoring purchases through the App Store.
- There is no sign-up or login.
- The App does not show ads, perform usage analytics, or track you.
- The App does not include any third-party libraries (SDKs).
2. Information the App Handles
To organize your documents, the App handles the following information only on your device:
- The contents of the documents you put in your Inbox folder (PDF, images, text, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CSV files)
- Details read from those documents (document type, issuer, date, amount, deadlines such as payment due dates, a short summary, and keywords)
- Your filing history (original file name, new file name, destination folder, when it was filed, and whether you marked it as paid)
- The full text of documents, only when the "Save text for search" setting (「本文を検索用に保存」) is turned on, so you can search it
- The rules you create, the locations of the folders you chose, and your settings
Information about other people in your documents
Invoices, receipts, and similar documents may include names, addresses, or other details of people other than you, such as your business contacts. This information is likewise handled only on your device, and we never receive it.
3. Where Your Data Is Stored
- Your document files stay in the Inbox and destination folders you choose. The App only moves files between those folders; it does not keep copies anywhere else. If your folders are in iCloud Drive or another cloud storage service, they are synced by that service.
- Details read from documents, your filing history, rules, and settings are stored in the App's private storage on your device and may be included in your device backups.
- Documents you send to the App from the share button in other apps are kept briefly in on-device storage shared only by the App and its share extension until they are moved to your Inbox.
- The number of times you have used automatic filing without review on the free version is also recorded in your device's keychain.
4. Access to Device Features
- Notifications: The App asks for permission only when you turn on the "Notify me of deadlines" setting (「期限を通知する」). Notifications remind you that a payment due date or another deadline in a filed document is approaching, and they are created on your device. Every other feature works without this permission.
- Files and folders: The App accesses only the folders and files you pick in the Files interface.
5. On-Device Processing
Text recognition (OCR) and classification of your documents use Apple's built-in text recognition and on-device AI (Apple Intelligence). On devices where on-device AI is not available, the App classifies documents by keywords on the device. In every case, the contents of your documents never leave your device. Actions you run from Shortcuts or Siri are also processed on your device.
6. In-App Purchases
The paid upgrade "AiFolio Pro" is purchased through Apple's App Store. Payment information is handled by Apple, and we never receive it. The App checks your App Store purchase history to confirm whether you have purchased it.
7. Sharing With Third Parties
Because the information the App handles is never sent to us, we do not share it with any third party.
8. Deleting Your Data
- You can clear your filing history one item at a time or all at once from the App's "Outbox". This does not delete the document files themselves.
- You can delete saved text with the "Delete saved text" setting (「保存した本文を削除」).
- Deleting the App removes the information it stored on your device (history, rules, and settings). Document files in your folders remain. The count of automatic filings recorded in the keychain may remain after the App is deleted, due to how the system keychain works.
9. Children
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes take effect when the updated policy is posted on this page.
11. Information We Receive When You Contact Us

- We use this information only to respond to your inquiry and to investigate and fix issues
